TOP 5 HOLIDAY MOVIES THAT DEFINITELY WARMS THE HEART.

AND SO, EVERYONE KNOWS I MEGA LOVE
WATCHING AND DISCOVERING

MOVIES THAT WARMS THE HEART
IN TIMES LIKE THESE WHEN THE
COLD BREEZE IS TOUCHING
EVERYONES SKIN
AND YOU CANNOT WAIT TO
CURL & CUDDLE UP
WITH SOMEONE SPECIAL.

SO THIS IS MY TOP 5
ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES
TO WATCH AROUND CHRISTMAS
UP TO THE NEW YEARS.

AND OF COURSE,
WHENEVER I WANT TO. HAHA

5. NOTTING HILL

Situated at the heart of london,
Will (Grant), an ordinary travel bookshop

owner from Notting Hill
gets the chance of a lifetime.

A bona fide superstar Anna (Roberts)
walked in his store and eventually
in his life in circumstances
so splendid and at times,
mundane that makes one wonder:

"Can the most famous film star in the world
fall for the man on the street?"

I remember, i saw this around the time
i was 11 with my uncle at Christmas day.
He was laughing so hard due to
Hugh Grant's roommate
and all i remembered was that scene:

Hugh grant's character opened
the door and all the blinding lights
started clicking &
of course, next thing you know,
'Spike' the roommate with
his silly briefs and weird face
smiled for the cameras.

Aside from that, I grew up watching Julia Roberts' films
(mostly with richard gere)
but with Hugh Grant, they have
that irresistible chemistry going that
no one can deny or even cant stop smiling about.

I think that started my inclination
to like Hugh Grant OR British guys
in general.

4. THE HOLIDAY

The next Brit that I extremely
love is JUDE LAW.

I don't know if its the smoldering stares or
his innocent eyes or even the accent
but there is something about Jude Law
that makes me want to watch all his films.

I saw this movie around 2009
around December also and
I really love the juxtaposing characters
deemed to be almost cliché
but is conventionally real and familiar.

In the movie, two characters
from different parts
of the globe with varying neuroses
and complications
opted to swap houses for
the holiday season
in order to move on
and start afresh.

By doing so, each experienced
a HOLIDAY
full of laughter, romance and
candid moments in foreign cities
enabling the audience to
hope for the best
and feel that warmth soothed
for the Christmas Season.

3. SERENDIPITY

Fate, Destiny, Serendipity.
Whatever we may call it,
is something that I BELIEVE
is worth looking in to.
Silly as it may seem,
life usually curves unusual circumstances
we don't utterly expect and
sometimes,
IT TURNS OUT BEAUTIFULLY.

And this movie is one heck of a reason
why I tend
to have faith in that premise.

Two strangers bumping unto
each other during the Christmas rush at
Bloomingdales unfolded magic and
irresistible je ne sais quoi one night
that forever tainted their belief systems
TO THE CORE.

A few years after, the two engaged with
their respective partners rekindle
what once was lost with the help of
fate, a five dollar bill,
the first edition of
love in the time of cholera
and of course,
the black cashmere gloves.

A movie so hopeful and
crazy all at once
it dares us to believe that
there is magic after all.

2. LOVE ACTUALLY

One of the most thought-out,
hilarious, and
enchanting movies of all time,
LOVE ACTUALLY
states a simple, matter-of-fact TRUTH:
LOVE IS ACTUALLY ALL AROUND.

The movie revolves around 10 people
and a thousand more regarding
the faces of love.

Young love,
Platonic love,
Falling in and out of love,
CRAZY LOVE
and of course,
so-near-yet-so-far
LOVE.

I ACTUALLY WONT DELVE
INTO ANY PLOTS
BECAUSE I WANT YOU GUYS
TO WATCH IT
FOR YOURSELVES
AND LET THE ENTICING CAST
& MESH OF CHARACTERS
CHARM THEIR WAY
INTO THOSE HEARTS.

BUT I WOULD SAY THIS:

I LOVED KEIRA KNIGHTLEY'S
AND OF COURSE,
COLIN FIRTH'S FOREVER!

1. BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY

COLIN FIRTH AND HUGH GRANT
IN ONE SITTING, OOH!
DEFINITELY AWESOME!

I ONLY SAW THIS FILM ONCE,
I THINK EARLY THIS YEAR
AND DIDN'T REALLY APPRECIATE
IT AT FIRST.

BUT WHEN I SAW IT AGAIN,
JUST THIS CHRISTMAS DAY,
IT WAS JUST EXACTLY
WHAT ONE NEEDS
DURING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

A RELENTLESSLY FUNNY,
ECCENTRIC,
WARM
AND IN DEED LOVABLE
CHARACTER,
SOMEONE EXACTLY LIKE:

BRIDGET JONES

The story talks of a 32 year old woman
seriously tired of her monotonous
life looking for ways to change
her "spinster" life and of course,
a relationship worthwhile.
She started a diary
to keep track of her
New Year's resolution
she had planned after
meeting an angsty guy
who ended up scorning
her at Christmas day.

In the course of that year,
she was able to
discover more of herself,
opened herself up for
a new relationship,
take on a new job,
lose and gain weight at once
and
discover what its like
to really have a man

LIKE A GIRL JUST THE WAY SHE IS.

And certainly, a fight scene
involving two gorgeously looking
men (Hello Colin Firth and
Hugh Grant) over
a girl's love while
"Its raining men"
is playing in the background is
indeed FABULOUS.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS
MOVIE IS JUST WONDERFUL
AND IF YOU ARE
LOOKING TO LAUGH HARD
AND BE SWEPT OFF YOUR
FEET AT THE SAME TIME,
THIS IS THE MOVIE!

ENJOY WATCHING AND
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
